FAQ

Voltage & dimmer questions

My light says 110V. Will it work in the US?

Yes. US outlets are 120V, and lights rated 110V, 110–120V or 110–240V all run on it as is.

Can I take my light abroad?

If it's rated 110–240V, you only need a plug adapter. A light rated 110V only needs a voltage converter.

Do I need a special dimmer?

For screw-in bulbs: an LED-rated dimmer and dimmable bulbs. For built-in LED: only lights with a dimming option on the product page, such as "Triac Dimming", can be dimmed.

Can I put a non-dimmable light on a dimmer switch?

It's best not to. Dimming a non-dimmable LED can cause flicker and shorten its life. Swap the dimmer for a regular switch, or keep it at full brightness.
